Terms of Service for Drop-it

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Drop-it Driver App or Merchant App (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
2. Description of Services
Drop-it is a technology platform that facilitates:
- Order creation and management by merchants
- Assignment and execution of deliveries
- Real-time tracking and communication
Carson Logistics W.L.L acts as a platform operator and service provider, and may also provide logistics services where applicable.
3. User Accounts
a) Registration
Users must provide accurate and complete information.
b) Responsibility
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and all activities under your account.
c) Eligibility
Users must be at least 18 years old.
4. User Responsibilities
a) Merchants
Merchants agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete order details
- Ensure shipments comply with applicable laws
- Avoid shipping prohibited, restricted, or undeclared goods
- Properly package items for transport
5. Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
- Use the Platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
- Provide false or misleading information
- Interfere with Platform security or operations
- Submit fake or unauthorized delivery requests
6. Payments and Fees
- Service fees will be communicated within the Platform or through separate agreements
- Carson Logistics reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice
- All payments must be made through approved methods
7. Cash on Delivery (COD)
7.1 COD Service Availability
Where enabled, the Platform allows merchants to request Cash on Delivery (COD) collection from consignees at the time of delivery. COD is provided as a convenience feature and is subject to these Terms.
7.2 Merchant Responsibilities
Merchants agree to:
- Provide accurate COD amounts for each order
- Ensure that all orders are legitimate and authorized
- Clearly communicate payment expectations to consignees
Carson Logistics shall not be responsible for incorrect COD amounts entered by the merchant.
7.3 Collection on a Best-Effort Basis
COD collection is performed on a best-effort basis.
Carson Logistics does not guarantee:
- Successful collection of COD amounts
- Customer availability
- Customer willingness or ability to pay
If payment is not completed, the shipment may be cancelled or returned, and additional charges may apply.
7.4 Payment Methods
COD payments are accepted only through:
- Cash; or
- Official company-approved payment channels
Carson Logistics does not accept responsibility for payments made outside authorized methods.
7.5 Liability Disclaimer (COD)
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carson Logistics is not liable for:
- Non-payment by consignees
- Fraudulent or fake orders
- Disputes between merchants and their customers
All risks associated with COD transactions remain with the merchant.
7.6 Settlement to Merchants
Where COD is successfully collected:
- Funds will be remitted according to agreed timelines
- Carson Logistics may deduct service fees, applicable charges, penalties, or adjustments
7.7 Returns and Failed Deliveries
If delivery fails due to non-payment:
- Shipments may be returned to the merchant
- Return, storage, or handling fees may apply
8. Order Fulfillment and Liability
- Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed
- Carson Logistics is not liable for delays beyond reasonable control
Loss or Damage
- Liability (if any) is subject to applicable law or separate agreements
- Merchants are responsible for proper packaging and declaration
9. Platform Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform. We may suspend, restrict, or modify services at any time for maintenance or operational reasons.
10. Data and Privacy
Use of the Platform is governed by our Privacy Policy.
11. Intellectual Property
All Platform content, software, and branding are owned by Carson Logistics W.L.L and may not be used without permission.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts if users:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in misconduct or unlawful activity
- Pose risk to the Platform or other users
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Carson Logistics shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Total liability (if any) shall be limited to fees paid for the relevant service
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Carson Logistics W.L.L from any claims arising from:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your violation of applicable laws
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Qatar.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
